Terms & Conditions – Munich Connect

Welcome to Munich Connect (the “Platform”). These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, the “user”) and [Company Name] (“Munich Connect”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

Munich Connect provides a city‑backed digital workflow for registering, coordinating, and approving public and private events in Munich. We facilitate data exchange between event organisers, municipal departments, and other stakeholders.

2. Eligibility & Account Security

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Submit only truthful, complete, and lawful information regarding your events.
  • Obtain all third‑party rights, permits, and insurances required by law.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and municipal guidelines.
  • Refrain from uploading malicious code, infringing content, or personal data of third parties without consent.

4. Platform Fees

Basic registration is free. If premium services or processing fees apply, you will be shown the price before purchase. All fees are quoted in euros and include statutory VAT where applicable.

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform, logo, and underlying software are owned or licensed by Munich Connect and protected by German and international laws. You receive a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use the Platform solely for lawful event‑management purposes.

6. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you acknowledge that you have read and understood the policy.

7. Availability & Updates

We strive for 24/7 availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or suspend the Platform (or parts thereof) to perform maintenance, roll out new features, or comply with legal requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

Except for intent or gross negligence, Munich Connect shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or lost profits arising out of your use of the Platform. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. under the German Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Munich Connect, its directors, employees, and municipal partners harmless from any claims or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms or legal requirements.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Platform or legal obligations. Material changes will be announced via email or in‑app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by German law. The courts of Munich have exclusive jurisdiction, except where otherwise required by consumer law.
